Welcome to the Chatterbox Family

Chatterbox are privately owned and operated early learning and long day care centres.

The Centres are licensed by the Office of Early Childhood and operate under the guidelines of the National Quality Framework (NQF).Our Centre is also guided by the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA) which monitors the application of the Education and Care Services National law across services throughout the country.

The importance of the early years of a child’s life is now well known with conclusive evidence showing that early childhood is a vital period in children’s learning and development. For the past 25 years, Chatterbox has understood the important role that we play in the lives of our children and their families. That understanding continues today and we work hard to provide quality learning experiences that will lay the foundation for each child’s future success in life. Our children are nurtured, valued and respected and are encouraged to follow their interests to develop a life-long love of learning. We recognise children’s right to play and be active participants in all matters affecting their lives.

We aim to do this in partnership with families, who we acknowledge are the most important people in children’s lives, as well as the communities in which we operate, which play a significant role in a child’s sense of belonging.

It is our wonderful team of Educators that enable us to provide the service that we are so proud of at Chatterbox. Our team is handpicked and made up of qualified, dedicated and passionate early childhood professionals. We know you will enjoy your relationship with this fantastic group of people who are committed to providing the best care and education for your child.

Our Services

Our Centre is an Approved Long Day Care Service which offers early learning programs within a long day care setting. We cater for children aged from 6 weeks through to school age so once your child starts at Chatterbox there is no need to move him/her until s/he starts school.

On your enrolled day/s you are welcome to bring your child to the Centre for the hours that suit your rou- tine within our operating hours. We are also open for 52 weeks each year so you will not need to make alternative care arrangements during school holidays.

Chatterbox offers a Queensland Government Approved Kindergarten Program within our long day care service. This means that your child can continue at Chatterbox, in an environment in which they feel safe and secure, while receiving an educational program based on the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline delivered by a University Trained Early Childhood Teacher. While we encourage at least 3 days attendance in our Kindergarten program, the days and hours of attendance are determined by you and as we are open for 52 weeks each year you will not need to make alternative care arrangements during school holidays.

Our People

At Chatterbox we work hard to recruit and select only the best early childhood professionals with a genuine passion for and commitment to the children in our care. All Educators hold or are studying for a qualification in Early Childhood Education and have a current Suitability (Blue) Card.

Our Educators maintain a current Senior First Aid Certificate with CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma training. Upon employment our educators receive a detailed induction and we provide ongoing op- portunities for professional and personal development. As continuity and consistency for our children are one of the cornerstones of the best practice service that we strive to provide, we endeav- our to minimise staff turnover by providing our educators with a positive working environment and attractive conditions of employment which include above award wages and a bonus scheme.
