Kindergarten

While the EYLF focuses on children from birth to five years, the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline (QKLG) aims to specifically enrich children’s learning in the Kindergarten year, which is the year before the transition to school.

Our Kindergarten Curriculum is developed and delivered by a University Trained Early Childhood Teacher using the QKLG.

The QKLG outlines 5 areas of children’s learning and development: Identity; Connectedness; Wellbeing; Active Learning; and Communicating and states that “throughout the Kindergarten Year, children’s right to experience the joy of childhood is fundamental and learning is promoted through play and emergent and planned learning experiences and interactions.
